Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

How deep should a water line be buried around here?

Deeper than in the southern part of the state, because the frost drives further down. If your yard line was put in shallow years ago, a cold winter will find it. A plumber can tell you what depth applies locally.

PEX or copper for a repipe?

PEX handles freezing better because it can expand a little before it fails, and it needs fewer joints. Copper lasts and tolerates heat well. Both are a large step up from old galvanised steel.

My water heater is fed off the garage wall. Is that a freeze risk?

It can be if the garage isn't heated and the wall faces north. That run behaves like outdoor plumbing on a cold night, which is why it's a common failure point in Kirtland and Aztec too. Places further out toward Cuba and Chama see it as well.
